My polar project has been awarded an artist residency in the artist studios of the Art Students League of New York.

Polar (self)Portrait project design. The new project sets out to explore, and invite artists to explore, ways of blending self-portrait and Arctic landscape.

The C4 Ensemble of NY is performing in 2016 in a second series of concerts my poem Pitter patter, pitter patter; and then. The relevance of this piece is surreal. C4 is also recording this piece for their next CD.

Manchester. Deposits from the last glacial period, a mere 15,000 years or so ago. Industrial canals, a photography series. A look into the city's relationship with the Industrial Revolution, the Victorian Age and contemporary galleries.

Leaves, Lives and Coding You, Coding Me. The former is a flash mob,  the latter is an installation. I designed the concepts and curated these art projects with public engagement for Boz'Art en Baz'Art, along with public engagement events in France. Mirror, Mirror `– a Creatives without Borders film – also featured as part of the flash mob and installation events. A 15th century moated castle in France re-imagined:  Château Noir.

Black and Blue in the Ateliér Ardó, covered by the Arts Page, in Fats Waller and slave routes inpired triptychs..

OpenDemocracy publishes Calm before the Storm, my article about Africa, Europe, America, the Creatives without Borders international arts project exhibited during the Boz'Art en Boz'Art festival in France. A selection of the images exhibited at Ateliér Ardó, and online can be viewed here.

Milan. Examining Leonardo's Last Supper, from up close and personal. Investigations into various aspects of this iconic painting, and how it compares with the many other Last Suppers before and after Leonardo. The Future's Gallery of Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru (The Welsh Assembly) in Cardiff features 'drych O ddrych' from mid-June to mid-July. Taking its title from the eponymous poem Mirror Mirror, this international arts project brings together artistsinspired by various interpretations of my poem 'mirror, mirror' and one of my photo essays of Romani life published by The Guardian.  Artists and composers in this project hail from Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Germany, Georgia, Grenada, Hungary, Turkey, the UK, and the US.

One of the three concerts in NY is featured by Critical Practices/21st Projects. My poem 'dada NY '15' was set to music by Daniel Andor-Ardó, and it was conducted by Perry Townsend. The C4 Ensemble has invited me to participate in their 10th anniversary NewMusicUSA project as one of their creative collaborators.

ALgebra, ALphabet, ALmutanabbi art project at Keats House, managed by the City of London. I curated this Creatives without Borders project as a poetry-meets-art-meets-music event. The installation included over 60 original artist books selected from the Inventory of Al-Mutanabbi Street. Poetry, music and art met, where Ghareeb Iskander and Hassan Abdulrazzak were in conversation with me and read their poems in English and some in Arabic. I also read my poems which was set to music by American composer and music publisher, Fahad Siadat.

Sketching in the Louvre, day and night. Gigantic waves of school parties and tourist groups rule the space during the day ; but at night, artists take over the galleries. Fellow artists kept me company, either drawing perched on rickety folding chairs or standing in front of large easels. Our silent intensity and the gaze of old masters from the walls energized us for hours. The head of the Louvre department specially dedicated to artists told me: the Louvre is for the artists. The sight of artists working there at night coloured her comment with authenticity.
