Under the Skin is an exhibition of portraits of humans and ‘monsters’. It explores the sense of the peculiar, the paradoxical nature of the strangely familiar. The cognitive dissonance between the familiar and the unfamiliar, the sense of the uncanny can be expressed in double takes and a deeper, more memorable engagement with the visual experience of what lives under the skin.
